Let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we?...
Back to September, HERE I told you why I had been putting the pedal to metal in my Etsy shop...and then we had a big crazy sale. It felt great to be shipping out my work. Definitely a great lifter of the spirit. The first orders for Pop Art Portraits started trickling in and by November, Christmas orders were in full swing. I shipped out Thirty-Six portraits just in December! You can see them HERE along with the much appreciated positive feedback, HERE you've all left for me in my shop. A few portraits were special requested to be done on a large canvas, and ended up being fun collaborations between me and the client. HERE is an example of one. Towards the end of December, I introduced a new item... Wood Photo Blocks. I'm really excited about these because I love the look of natural wood behind a photo, and the panels actually come from a local company in Salem,OR.
Also, if you read this blog, it was probably hard to miss that I created and auctioned three paintings as a fundraiser towards the Budd Family's adoption fund. All together, after expenses were taken out, we were able to raise $330.36. Thank you to everyone that participated and helped me spread the word. I know they still have a ways to go, so if you would like to help, contact me or Abbie. If you fell in love with any of those paintings, I will be offering prints in the near future.
In the midst of all this excitement, I was contacted by a company called "All My Walls" who was interested in possibly licensing images of my abstract paintings. That right there was a dream come true. I've always wanted that to happen, but didn't think that it really would...and definitely not until I had things more "together." Last week I sent in my agreement and today I'm actually working on getting my images to them. All My Walls is a company that makes metal wall hangings from artists' work. I'll keep you posted on how all of that unfolds.
Other than that, my little son is growing up fast...and adorable. ...and we're still in the duplex, we relocated to in October, just waiting for someone to give my dear husband a job. ...while simultaneously attempting to not go crazy. ;) I'm also getting the ball rolling for a new and different venture in my life, that I'll talk more about later.
I'll leave you with a little secret though. I'm going to have a big sale on my Abstract Prints soon. I'll post the dates here on my blog beforehand, so if you don't want to miss it, just make sure you're subscribed to this blog.
